Welcome to Tetherdown! We are delighted to share this snapshot of our wonderful community with you.
We are a happy, diverse and supportive community, where we take pride in providing a nurturing, innovative, and inspiring atmosphere for students, staff, and parents to thrive and achieve together. Inspiring creativity fosters problem-solving skills in children, encouraging them to tap into their curiosity and imagination. We nurture kindness, showing them the value of caring for each other, our school, and the environment. We build resilience, giving them chances to tackle challenges and learn from experiences, promoting all-around development.
At Tetherdown, we prioritise children's happiness and emotional well-being as the cornerstone for their ability to excel and contribute to society. Our goal is to provide them with positive early learning experiences and relationships, fostering responsible and become responsive citizens who value community.
The children possess a strong appetite for learning and enjoy their educational journey. While wandering around the school, one can't miss the captivating artwork, the joyful chatter of children and discover inspiring poetry and tales adorned on our writing walls. Innovative learning occurring both indoors and outdoors - ‘The Saplings’ (our Forest School area). Every child finds a pathway to success, embracing their unique strengths and interests.
Our generous hearted staff work hard to offer a wide array of thoughtfully crafted opportunities to ignite children's interests, to inspire enthusiasm, and unlock their full potential, resulting in excellent progress at Tetherdown.
Leading this incredible school is an absolute joy. Here, both students and staff share a deep love for life and learning, making it a tremendous privilege. We look forward to welcoming you soon. In the meantime, please look at our virtual tour, featuring insights from our former headteacher.
