Chinese New Year Blessings for 2025
Thank you to Ning, Nancy and Lareina for their hard work in producing a Chinese New Year video of our wonderful Tetherdown staff wishing everyone Chinese New Year blessings in Mandarin and Cantonese! as well as for your encouraging comments "Your good pronunciation is very impressive, and your blessings were full of passion, demonstrating respect and understanding for Chinese culture".
Mandarin and Cantonese are two very different Chinese dialects. They have different pronunciations, grammar rules, vocabularies, and writing systems. However, they do share some similarities, such as a common writing system and a large amount of common vocabulary.
Below is a list of the blessings in the video in both Mandarin and Cantonese:
- Happy New Year.
- Good luck in the Year of the Snake.
- Wish you good fortune.
- Wish you good health.
- Wish you success in your work.
- May all your wishes come true.
- Wish you all the best.
