All Club Operational Information

Tetherdown Provision

• Registration is required for each new term for extended day clubs run by Tetherdown. Parents will be contacted in the previous term for registration for the next term. Only choir, orchestra and jazz band (by invite) do not need to re-register in the spring and summer terms as these clubs are a commitment for the academic year starting in September. Extended day T&Cs will apply to all Tetherdown run clubs and are available at end of this page.
• Payment is required in advance at the point of booking via ParentPay. A successful booking serves as confirmation of your place.
• Refunds are not provided after registration as our extended day clubs and wraparound care are planned and staffed based on the bookings received. Where the school cancels a session, we will provide a catch-up club.  We appreciate that unexpected circumstances can arise and thank parents and carers for their understanding and support, which helps us continue to provide high-quality provision for all children. External provision

• Club registration and payment for clubs run by our external providers, please contact them directly. Contact details can be found in the published club timetable. For Autumn Term only - new reception pupils wishing to take an extracurricular club can register with a club to start after half term.

Cancellation and Catch-up classes

• If your child's extended day club at the end of the school day is cancelled by the provider, parents are advised to make alternative pick-up arrangements for their child and to notify the school office via email of the new arrangement no later than 2:45pm. Parents should not assume that the Tetherdown after-school club can take their child following a club cancellation if they cannot make alternative pick-up arrangements. 

• Children who normally attend the Tetherdown after-school club directly after the cancelled extracurricular club (e.g. tennis) can go straight to after-school club at the end of the school day, however you will be charged accordingly for this session via ParentPay.

• Catch-up classes will be rearranged where possible for club cancellations and typically take place at the end of the term in which the club was cancelled. The catch-up club timetable is uploaded to this page at the end.  

Club Pick-Up Information

All end of day extended day clubs are released from the Office Gate B at their scheduled club end time with the exceptions below.

To address safeguarding concerns at club dismissal times, we’ve developed a new pick-up schedule to improve safety and streamline exiting from the premises, which applies to Wednesday clubs ONLY. 

Please note for all extended day clubs, including half-term and holiday camps, it is the responsibility of the parents to pass on pupil medical condition(s) as necessary to the club provider, including whether your child has a health care plan in school with medication.
