Climate Change Week

A great week of highly active two-hour outdoor learning sessions with award-winning charity The Garden Classroom who have provided a sustainability and climate change education programme for Tetherdown.

As you know, this year we have been working with the Award-winning charity The Garden Classroom who have provided a sustainability and climate change education programme for Tetherdown. During our outdoor learning sessions in Cherry Tree Woods, we have explored the difference between climate and weather; what different natural environments look like and the human impact and how we contribute to climate change. We also look at natural solutions in the real-life context of the greenspace. This week all the children (Year 1-6) took part in a full week of highly active two-hour outdoor learning sessions and indoor creative activities linking to Climate Change. We ended our week with a celebratory assembly to discuss everything we have learnt.
