Year 5&6 Tag Rugby Tournament
Another first for our Y5/6’s who were selected to represent Tetherdown at their first Tag Rugby competition on Thursday 9th November 2023 at New River. The team really put in all their effort and for most of the children it was their first time playing together.
Theo, James, Kamil and Gael all tried to keep pushing forward and with attempts from Jacob to get us ahead in the game. Oliver demonstrated great leadership and many of our children took it as a learning day where being a team was important. They played plenty of games against some strong opponents – they all should be proud of their contribution. A special mention to all three girls who played every single game and kept their heads up. Well done to Kamil for his determination and getting a try!

Year 5&6 Tag Rugby Festival
On Friday 10th November 2023, at New River a team of Y5/6’s attended the Tag Rugby festival with great enthusiasm and positivity. Their resilience really showed in each game – fantastic work by Wilf, Teo and Nate to get through. Rewarding Wilf with a try!
A fantastic defensive play by Andrew and Melanija who both stepped up and worked hard to keep an eye on opponents and tag them numerous times. Well done to all who took part in the festival – you should be proud of all of your hard work, determination and sportsmanship.
