Year 5 Apollo Assembly and Workshop

🎻 Apollo Music Brings Classical Music to Life 🎶

Four musicians playing violin and celloWe were delighted to welcome Apollo Music to school for a musical experience. The talented musicians began with a whole-school assembly, performing a range of pieces and introducing pupils to the different instruments within a string ensemble. The live performance was a wonderful opportunity for children to experience classical music up close and appreciate the skill and teamwork involved in creating such beautiful sounds.

Following the assembly, Year 5 took part in an engaging workshop where they explored the music of famous composers such as Mozart and Beethoven. The children listened carefully to different pieces and discussed how the music made them feel, sharing a range of thoughtful responses. They learnt about important musical vocabulary, including pitch, octaves and symphonies and considered how composers use these elements to create different moods and effects.

The workshop was interactive, inspiring and thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was a wonderful opportunity for Year 5 to deepen their understanding of classical music and develop their listening and appreciation skills. We would like to thank Apollo Music for providing such an enriching and memorable experience for our pupils.
