Summer Sports News: 🌟 Cricket Tournaments – Every Run, Every Wicket Counts! 🏏

Congratulations to our Year 6 girls' cricket team on a fantastic tournament. Despite being in a very tough group with Rhodes Avenue and St. Mary’s, the girls defeated St. Mary’s and narrowly lost to Rhodes Avenue by just one run. They responded brilliantly by winning their remaining matches convincingly to secure an excellent fourth-place finish overall.

Despite competing in extremely hot conditions, our boys showed great determination throughout the tournament. They beat Coldfall by 38 runs before narrowly losing their second group game by just five runs. Finishing second in their group, they then narrowly missed out on third place after a closely contested match. A fantastic effort from our Year 6 boys in their final cricket tournament for Tetherdown.

Year 4 took part in their first cricket tournament. Despite the very hot conditions, they showed excellent fielding and batting skills throughout the day. Most of the team had only learnt how to play cricket at school, making their performance even more impressive. They finished in 5th place overall.  Well done to our fantastic cricket team.  We are so proud of you!
