A Special Visit from the Granddaughter of a Holocaust Survivor

Remembering Together 🕯️

Tetherdown had the honour of hearing a powerful and heartfelt talk from the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor.

Year 5 and 6 were privileged to welcome Deborah Shafier, the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, who came to share her grandmother’s story with the children.

It was a powerful and moving talk that helped the children reflect on the importance of kindness, respect, and understanding. Deborah’s message emphasised the value of being proud of who we are, regardless of our background, heritage, or beliefs.

We are very grateful to Deborah for sharing such an important and personal history with us.
