Zaki Walks with Superstar Footballers!

Zaki, year 4, had the immense thrill of walking out with football superstar Kylian Mbappe when he was chosen as one of the mascots for the Arsenal v Real Madrid game in the Champions League. Zaki plays with a grassroots team run by Arsenal, and his coaches gave him the opportunity to be a mascot because of his hard work, good attitude and the fact that he is playing with older boys in the year 5 team.

On the evening of the match, Zaki got to meet several of the Real Madrid players, as well as fist bump the Arsenal player Olexsandr Zinchenko. He then walked out onto the pitch with the France international Mbappe.

Friends from Tetherdown, London and elsewhere in the world saw it all on TV. Then Zaki and his dad watched the match from the stands. To complete what Zaki described as a perfect evening, Arsenal won 3-0, with goals from Declan Rice (2) and Mikel Merino.
