As a starting point to Year 4’s topic on Romans, the children had fun constructing a timeline using ‘loo roll’ to help them visualise the place of Roman Britain in British history. The children placed the main eras and went as far back as 15 000 BCE when the Stone Age began in Britain to the end of the twentieth century. With limited space, it took many attempts to get the scale right!
