Volunteers
We are very lucky to have a strong supportive parent community who volunteer their time in school regularly helping the class teachers with a range of activities: sticking work into children's books, organising and sorting school resources or helping prepare for any school productions. They are simply fantastic and, we value greatly their support.
We also collaborate with local schools, providing short and long-term volunteering or work experience placements, for example for their Duke of Edinburgh award, as well as, collaborating with further Education Colleges and Universities, providing vital volunteering work experience opportunities for individuals as part of their further studies. These volunteers support and or observe in the classroom as part of a structured programme and are assigned a mentor for their training.
We appreciate and value all our volunteers, so if you are interested in volunteering, please email Rachel Gillingham, Deputy Headteacher in the first instance on admin@tetherdownschool.org.
