As another fantastic sporting year ends, we’re delighted to celebrate the achievements of our pupils across a range of competitions and festivals. Their commitment, resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship have been outstanding, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone who has represented Tetherdown this year.
🥈🔥 Tag Rugby Tournament Success – Proud Silver Medalists! 🏉
What an outstanding performance by our Year 6 Tag Rugby team. We came first in the group stages, progressing into the top group alongside teams like Rhodes Avenue, Coldfall, Harris CP, and Harris Tottenham. We ended up taking the silver medal home. I couldn’t be prouder of this team; they truly represented Tetherdown with heart and determination. A special mention must go to our captain, Finn, whose leadership and spirit kept us strong every step of the way.
Our Year 6 Tag Rugby team then went on to represent Haringey at the London Youth Games!
The team finished third in their first group, losing just one game, before going on to finish second in their second group, remaining unbeaten throughout. Every match a close contest, and the players demonstrated incredible skill, determination, and teamwork from start to finish. Overall, the team secured an impressive 14th-place out of 32 for Haringey. We couldn’t be prouder of their outstanding effort, resilience, and sportsmanship. Well done to everyone involved!
