7 Decades of Dance Workshop

We celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee by carrying out a series of activities. One of them was a ‘7- decades of dance’ workshop. It was based on the 7 decades that Elizabeth II has been on the throne.  We learnt about the history of music and dance since the Queen’s Coronation Day and learnt how dance moves have progressed since the 1920s. We enjoyed this dance workshop so much, especially when we danced to Dua Lipa. We created dances for each decade and them put them together for a final production which our teacher recorded. We thought it was very fun and creative activity which everyone got involved with from all the year groups.
