Year 5 - Our Lady of Muswell Local Trip
All the children thoroughly enjoyed listening to Father Mark and having him answer their thought-provoking questions.
On Wednesday 23rd of March, Year 5 went to Our Lady of Muswell Church to reinforce their knowledge of Holy Week. Inside, they met Father Mark - the leader of the church.
Father Mark talked about how the priests wear special clothes when they are working and offered the children the opportunity to try them on. The Year 5 children told the father about everything they had been learning in RE this term. At the church, the children were showed the 14 steps of Jesus being condemned to death, including the burial of his body and resurrection. Father Mark also shared the history behind this place of worship and showed a plaque of all the ten priests before him. All the children thoroughly enjoyed listening to Father Mark and having him answer their thought-provoking questions.
