Year 5 Apollo Music Trip

The Apollo band played string, wind and brass instruments - there even was a conductor (called David!)

On the 10th of March 2022, Year 5 went on an exciting school trip in London to Regent Hall. They went to see Apollo Orchestra, who played classical music. Year 5 had already had a taste of their music after 5 visits and were thrilled to have a different experience being in a hall with a full orchestra.

All the pupils enjoyed it, and it was the first time that they had used public transport since year 3. There were other schools with us and the music was absolutely thrilling. The musicians playing introduced their instruments, and we were able to asked questions about them and why they joined the Apollo music band.

The Apollo band played string, wind and brass instruments - there even was a conductor (called David!). The conductor explained all the music that they performed in detail and even played the Simpsons theme tune at the end! (We think it was everyone’s favourite).  In our opinion it was a memorable experience that everybody enjoyed thoroughly.
