Year 5 WW2 Day

Year 5 had a stupendous time during their WW2 Day.

Year 5 had a stupendous time during their WW2 Day. The children were evacuated to Cornwall or Devon and took part in different activities throughout the day. They started the day as spies at Bletchley Park, where they created coded messages to help the war effort. Year 5 also created their own propaganda posters to remind people that ‘Careless talk costs lives.’  In the afternoon, they learnt how Tetherdown school was affected during the war and looked at artefacts from the Home front.
