Cancer Research Cake Sale

posted 12 Feb 2016, 08:42 by Tetherdown Primary
On Friday 5th February we organised a cake sale after school raising money for cancer research.  We were inspired to do it when someone very close to one of us got cancer and fell very ill. We were very upset and wanted to help those who have cancer. Even if you are very famous or rich like David Bowie, then it does not prevent cancer from reaching you.  Sadly, thousands of people have died from this severe illness.  We hope to change that really soon. When we organised the cake sale we realised how important it is to beat cancer before it gets too late. We raised an amazing £333.61 and it will be donated to Cancer Research. Thank you to all the parents who helped out and everyone for buying the cakes. By Zalie and Maddy (Y5)
