We would particularly ask that children who walk to school alone or with friends are reminded of the need to walk in well-lit areas to and from school. It is essential that teachers are aware that parents have given permission for their children to do this – this applies to Year 5 and 6 children only. At Tetherdown we believe that children’s safety is of paramount importance. As a school we will: Continue to discuss safety with the children as part of our curriculum. Continue to lead assemblies that are informative on general safety and well-being. Continue to alert parents and carers to remain vigilant. Invite the Community Police to be involved in advising the school so that we remain as safe as possible. |
