Gymnastics Competitions

On Thursday 4th and Friday 5th February some Tetherdown children went over to Hornsey Girls Secondary School to take part in the Haringey Gymnastics competition. Year on year the standard gets better and better and this year was no different. On Thursday four children form Years 3 and 4 demonstrated fantastic skill and control as they each had to complete two routines and a vault. Each child was excellent in their execution and the team ended up finishing 6th out of 11 schools. On the Friday it was the turn of the Year 5 and 6 children. Again the children put in a brilliant performance showing great skill and agility when producing these complex routines. The team ended up finishing 7th of 16 schools. Although there were no medals this time all the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A massive well done to Clara, Kate, Evan, Joseph, Tobias, Tom, Izzy and Isobel. A special mention to the parents who helped to make the participation in the competition possible. Fantastic support as always – thank you!
