The Governing Body
The Governing Body is made up of 11 individuals from the local community, including the Headteacher. There is 1 elected staff governor and the parents elect 4 parent governors. There is 1 Local Authority representatives and 4 co-opted governors. The Headteacher is automatically a Governor. Governors meet twice per term as a whole body and at other times in committee. The first part of each Governing Body meeting is an open meeting, where members of the community can observe the proceedings. The second part of the meeting is for any confidential items and is closed to non-members. The day to day running of the school is the responsibility of the Headteacher and it is the governing body's duty to:

For parents who would like to become involved in the strategic management of the school, it is possible to become a member of the Governing Body through election by the parent body.
