Music Lessons
There is a strong tradition of encouraging listening, singing and playing music at Tetherdown. All children participate in singing and are given the opportunity to experiment in playing and composing with a range of instruments using exploratory, non-standard methods. In Year 3 all children are given the opportunity to learn to read music and play the ocarina.

We are also part of the Haringey Instrumental Scheme through which parents can arrange lessons from peripatetic music teachers for children from Y2 – Y6 in piano, strings, woodwind, brass and guitar. We timetable these lessons during the school day and children regularly perform in assemblies and concerts.  As part of our music offer to children we have recently formed our very own Tetherdown Orchestra for children in the juniors.  You should contact the office to find out more about how to join.
