Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or Unqualified Teacher

Start Date: 1st September 2024; Closing Date: 03/06/2024 at 9am.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HLTA/Unqualified teacher to work within our setting. The successful candidate will be working with the teaching staff and senior leadership team to cover PPA and leadership time as well as supporting small groups.

Higher-Level Teaching Assistant OR Unqualified Teacher
Grade & Salary: Scale 6 Point 18-20 (£32,925 - £33,957) 
40 weeks per year pro rata
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
One-year fixed term contract to 31st August 2025
 Required 1st September 2024

We are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our successful team.  Under the guidance of the Deputy, you will need to be:

  • Confident in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to help children reach their full potential across all areas of learning.
  • Implement effective behaviour management techniques, based on relationships and consistently in alignment with the school's policies to create a conducive and safe learning environment.
  • You will also need to plan and deliver interventions to small groups, as well as provide general classroom support.

You will have:

  • Excellent organisation skills to manage teaching spaces and develop teaching resources to create an engaging and safe learning environment.
  • Can confidently use ICT skills to enhance student learning and engagement in the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and relevant professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to children’s development and support.
  • Participate in the school's appraisal procedures and seek relevant training to improve your effectiveness in supporting teaching and learning activities.
